I disagree with those who say you should have minions or slaves pushing your wheelchair or bearing you in a litter. The litter-bearers union, in particular, has gotten uppity in the last millenium or so.

You need a motorized wheelchair — racing stripes and sufficient horsepower to properly augment the feelings of terror and despair you wish to inspire in the rest of us.

Heh, yeah, that’s the ticket.

This certainly puts some of my own problems into perspective. I’ve been bemoaning the fact that walking for an hour or longer brings on a lot of pain. But at least I _can_ walk and no one is telling me that I shouldn’t.

I spent some time in a wheelchair and with a cane this year. It’s not fun. The chair especially sucked. Except when I got my minions to push me around. That part was kind of fun.

It must be very hard. I’d suspect harder for you than most. No one likes to feel their body has control over them. No one likes to feel the reminder that our mortal bodies are fragile things. But for someone who hates to have his options limited, it must be a thousand times suckier.

Nothing terribly helpful to say but just thinking of you and hoping you are keeping your minions busy pushing your wheelchair around.
