That throbbing artery is going to mutate further. I just know it. Soon, you’re going to have these freak blood vessels covering your entire body. It’s only a matter of time.

In nursing school we were taught to palpate a fistula for “thrill”; if I were a clever-er person and didn’t have a headache I’d find some amusing pun in that. I do sympathize with your animal, though my own personal squick is bony protrusions like that knobby little bone where the hand meets the wrist.
